// SHOP UPDATE //

November 23, 2016

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to provide a shop update (one that hurts my heart just a little). After a completely overwhelming day, I've realized that I've officially hit the limit of what I'm able to take on at the moment. Between the stress of wrapping up a job that I actually really love and am terribly sad to leave, having to now slot in extra medical tests in the last stretch of our pregnancy and scrambling to put together an insta-mom approved nursery (will share pics soon), I'm going to have to make the tough decision to close down the shop for just a little while. Customer service, quality interactions and commitment to turnaround times have always been extremely important to me and I am feeling them start to slip, which is my cue to take a break. It's not you, it's me.

What this means for pending orders

I am committed to finishing all the orders I currently have in the queue. I've reached out to a few people to discuss a slight delay in estimated shipping dates so please check your emails/etsy accounts if you have an order you're currently waiting for. If you have any questions regarding a pending order, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

What this means for future orders

I will be playing things by ear as we approach our delivery date (which could happen at any time). My plan is to do small releases as I have the ability to do so, opening up the store for those each time. I will try to take on as many of your custom orders as I can but I simply can't make any promises at this point in time. I will also be cancelling my beanie release that was scheduled for Sunday (cue collective boo that can be heard all across the interwebs). I will still try to do another release before Christmas but you should also check out Love and Loops for Days on Instagram. Her faux pom beanies are absolutely gorgeous but equally hard to get your hands on.

I also encourage you to check out some other local/Ontario-based small shops carrying adorable baby/toddler apparel if you aren't already familiar with them like Mitch & Lu, Maveriks Handmade, Geema Sews and Walnut Creek Organics.

Let's stay in touch though, k?

I will still be keeping up my social media accounts and trying to offer releases, sales and even contests (because I'm not going to lie - I love giving away free stuff #worstbusinesspersonever) so please stay in touch. I am also really excited to share some of the amazing handmade creations from our nursery so stay tuned for that. Bottom line - I'm going to try really hard to not have the WD instagram go into hibernation mode.

I think that just about covers it. I hate that I've had to post this but am asking for your understanding and patience while we take a little pause.
With gratitude,

Elizabeth

WHO MADE MY CLOTHES

April 25, 2018

One of the biggest things I’ve learned is the handmade world is kind of like the Wild West. It’s based largely on trust between buyer and seller and feels completely unregulated most of the time. Unfortunately, there are a lot of businesses taking advantage of this to make a quick profit. Their actions are not only deceiving customer, but are also devaluing the hard work done by actual makers.

NEW LOGO, WHO DIS?

April 19, 2018

There are those businesses that start off with a super strong plan and branding that’s been locked in from day one. Then there’s Wooly Doodle. One of the things that keeps me up at night is the fact we’ve been suffering from a bit of a brand identity crisis pretty much since day one.
