Our highly anticipated Ladies Relaxed Tees and Bike Shorts have arrived and we wanted to share why and how we created these products and what we think you'll love about them. As always, these products have been ethically made in Canada out of sustainable fabrics. Our Relaxed Tees are made of our signature bamboo jersey fabric you know and love, while the Bike Shorts are made from a slightly heavier (but still oh-so-soft) bamboo jersey to give them more durability.
Product Development
When developing these products we knew we needed to make them just right, while also focusing on a quick turnaround time so they could be enjoyed during the warm summer weather.
Normally our product development can take anywhere from 8 to 10 weeks and involves multiple iterations. In order to fast track this process and be more involved in the outcome, Elizabeth dusted off her sewing machines and made some (very rough) prototypes that would allow the team to try them on, get feedback and ensure we produce the very best product.

How They Turned Out
Ladies Relaxed Tees
So far the feedback on these products is that you're LOVING them. Our goal with the Ladies Relaxed Tee was to provide another shirt option that wasn't as form fitting. With this Tee we've created a top that is a true 'boyfriend' fit without looking sloppy. It features the perfect dropped shoulder, a free-flowing body and enough length in the back to cover your toosh.
For colours, we brought back some of your favourites from the past like Mustard Been Love, Don't Be Jaded and Mauve Over, while also including some of our popular spring/summer colours like Grape Expectations and Cloud Nine. Because, we know how much you all love tie-dye, we also did some limited edition shirts in I Lava You, Sublime and Cotton Candy.
BIKE SHORTS
Generally, when we create products we use a standard rule when creating smaller/larger sizes. However, with our Bike Shorts we felt like simply adding width and length as sizes got bigger wasn't going to work. Instead, we really thought about where to make sizing adjustments for each size and used our prototype as a baseline. The result has been feedback across the board that these are the most comfortable shorts ever! They feature a double-layered, wide waist band and as sizing increases, we added length to the rise (waist to crotch) and the waist, versus adding more and more length to the leg.
